Kinetic Energy

I'm not sure how exactly this will work, I have not done enough research into this field yet. But I have heard of kinetic energy. What if you combined everyday structures with some kind of generator, which can produce power without doing anything different.

Now for my favourite example. Image a bridge, where as you walk the energy from you walking passing down onto the surface, into generators, then into a main power hub.

Scientists who understand material sciences, electrical generators and the business visionaries who see this opportunity. The one which pops to mind is Porsche's work combined with Williams Formula One Racing Team KERS (kinetic energy recovery systems) is the best example I've seen in the Porsche 911 GT3 R's hybrid 2.0 system. The 918 RSR is next.

There are various groups around the planet in academia and industry working toward components of this technology. Take your pick. On a small scale I know a particular scientist with experience here I'd tap.

Funding, but most likely government policy favoring the ensconced energy incumbents who like the status quo.
