Edible Community Landscaping

In the world of apartments and condos, it is often difficult to find land in which to grow your own food. At the same time, governments have to spend quite a bit of tax money to landscape roadsides, parks, medians, and other unused public land. Opening up this land for use by community members for edible landscaping/gardening would allow for sustainable food production while reducing outlay of public funds for non-essential services. It would also potentially increase interpersonal interactions amongst those doing the gardening.

It would eventually include community production of electricity. Community food and power.
