Design Your Waste

Cape Town - Submitted by jljgr on Sep 23 2014

In the future, each part of every appliance, each component part of every object you buy and own will have a designed destination- products will break down and parts will have pre-determined uses once their first configuration fails. Nothing will be waste, everything will be reusable in an infinite configuration as missing or broken parts will be re-manufactured at home on your 3D printer from updated and improved files, whilst old parts go on to make new things as they are recycled for re-use or turned into a commodity for public consumption via connected sharing networks.

NOW it's your turn...

Create a prototype - a concept image, comic strip, map, video interview, Arduino project, or any kind of made media or object that helps other players better understand this idea!

The mayor of the city, a group of people for an experimental period, people to finance your project, like a company that does the appliances you plan to recycle.

3D printers, the raw material used in printing and the methods to recycle the material. People to live a life style that uses the whole cycle to provide feedback.
