3D Printing Libraries

Baltimore - Submitted by basementhacker on Apr 25 2015

Libraries are already places of learning and collaboration. Adding 3D printing abilities to such a space seems obvious. In a system similar to the system used to access library computers, citizens would be able to access and 3D print objects. Prints would be filtered and monitored by print-librarians to disallow inappropriate or illegal items from being printed. Repeated misuse of the printers may result in loss of privileges. A similar setup is already in place in the Harford County Public Library system. (2015)
