Maker World - Submitted by Micha Becker on Aug 1 2013

You would need city officials to get on board from there you need to find people in your community that are willing to help educate the community to the benefits of having a public garden. Then also in that you need people who are willing to volunteer their time to help teach people about how to garden.

You would need a good plot of land in your community that the city is willing to give to a public garden. From their most likely soil samples would need to be taken to ensure that the soil has the nutrients to support a garden. If not you have to spend time making the soil useable. Then you have to figure out how to divide up the space. So you give every household a plot and if they don't use it, it gets lumped into a pot which is then fairly distributed between then house hold that are going to partake. Or do you have limited plots available and its first come first serve.
