In Madeira in the future, people will use cutting edge science conducted by citizens from other mountainous islands to measure their exact property conditions to select and grow to match those conditions. People will build cheap robots to capture weather data.

You can use small radio controlled drones to get to areas which have difficult terrain and they would be equipped to measure different weather conditions and soil quality etc.

Financing is a problem. Allying yourself with a university would most likely help you with financing and/or human resources capable of operating the machines and providing education.

There are tech companies who are experimenting with these types of drones

More than the cost of the drones, education on operating and maintenance is also a need.

Drone building cost, short term wise,may be more than most farmers are able to pay.
