Cowboys Herd in Healthy, Sustainable Food

Fort Worth - Submitted by Rebecca Chesney on Oct 14 2013

In the future, America's cattle capital will sustainably be able to feed its residents healthy, organic, grass-fed beef. Cowboys use their herding, lassoing, and cattle-ing skills to gather local transport, distribution, and community channels to remake the food system. This new system helps route water to farmers during long summer droughts, increasing the availability of produce as well. Parker County's storied history as the center of America's cattle industry takes on a new life.
